Whatever type of seasonal activities you may enjoy, you can find it here in beautiful Heeney, Colorado at the Green Mountain Reservoir! Located in Summit County, bordering Grand County, close to everything but far enough away to enjoy an authentic mountain getaway experience! The tiny hamlet of Heeney gives the feeling of being world's away from it all, while still close enough to everything Colorado has to offer! Luxuriously rustic decor yet with all the modern upgrades and amenities you would find at your finest hotel. These beautifully custom handcrafted cabins have been lovingly restored using reclaimed, reused, recycled and sustainable wood and products. Each cabin has been meticulously updated from their original 1940's state and then fabulously furnished with your cabining in comfort in mind. If you love the outdoors but also love having the comforts of home look no further! Our cabins are fully furnished, exceptionally clean and well equipped with everything you need to make your Colorado vacation all it can be. Each cabin has washer/dryer, dishwasher, skylight, ceiling fan, woodstoves with firewood. There is no need to rough it! The only thing these cabins don't have is satellite or cable, and that's cause' we really do want you to relax! We do offer DVD & VCR players in each cabin with an extensive movie library and stereos with CD and MP3 capability. Each cabin also has a nice selection of board games, cards, books and magazines. Tucked away between two incredible mountain ranges, the Gore and Williams Peak, the area offers the best in skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, ice skating, mountain biking, extensive hiking trails in nearby National Forests to explore, hike Lower Cataract Loop with the family or for a more challenging hike try Upper Cataract Loop or Surprise Trail, rock climbing, hunting, white water rafting, kayaking, hang gliding, lake or fly fishing in the Gold Medal Trout waters of the Blue River, wind surfing, swimming, boating as well as on site boat rentals at the Heeney Marina, water skiing, jet skiing & wake boarding on the Green Mountain Reservoir, 4-wheeling, horseback riding at nearby Rusty Spur Ranch, ice-fishing, wildlife viewing, sightseeing, not to mention good old fashioned relaxation!
